Good ideas bring change- which is scary! That’s why some people are afraid of good ideas that might make a difference somehow or contribute in some way or another.
On the other hand, many people are terrified of bad ideas. Ideas that might make us look stupid or waste money or time or even create some sort of comeback.
The thing is that you can't have good ideas unless you're ready to generate a lot of bad ones.
Painters, musicians, entrepreneurs, writers, chiropractors, accountants, etc.–all fail much more than they succeed.
But they have a bigger chance of succeeding compared to other people who have no ideas at all.
I heard a story of a man that went up to his friend and asked him where he got all of his good ideas from! He explained that it would take him over a month to come up with one, and he realized that his from seems to have much more than that. His friend paused and asked him how many bad ideas he was getting every month.. and his reply was: none!
And there, you see ladies and gentlemen, is the problem.
